The second generation of the Aragon family areat the helm of Cillar de Silos,Ribera del Duero’s high altitude bodega (winery).
Unashamed Tempranillo specialists, if you tried the Joven that was offered on one of our previous Trio’s, then you know what I’m talking about.
Their wines are impressively well made, this being juicy and plump on the palate with exceptional structure. Showing intense aromas of redcurrants and raspberries, hints of spice and minerality add to its complexity. It’s also dry – another reason why I’ve been such a fan of this wine for so long.
The full and vibrant palate finishes with exceptional length. Great on its own or with some spiced almonds, light tapas selection or char grilled octopus with fresh herbs.
