Terroso was borne with one purpose in mind, to bring you the experience of fine wine, food and the enjoyment of sharing them with friendsTerroso, meaning earthy in Italian, is a venture back into the world of wine by Liz ben-Arieh and Jane Read. Our focus is to provide you with greater options and new styles of wine to choose from, without the guesswork or the intimidating hard sell. Terroso will focus on bringing wines to you that we believe represent good value and more importantly, show integrity and a sense of place.
Our combined industry backgrounds range from wine production, marketing and sales, through to wine list management and food and wine matching. It is through having maintained our relationships with industry professionals that we are able to access stylish and standout wines from producers that are well known, or that are only just emerging and may be a little quirky and shy.
Our only preference is for quality wines that are truly outstanding performers. With this in mind our monthly newsletter will feature our personal recommendations of wines from winemaking regions around the globe.These wines will be interesting, topical and above all, delicious! Our suggestions will be replete with tasting notes and reviews from acclaimed wine scribes and journalists.
Our love of all things gastronomic however is not just limited to wine. We’re big lovers of food and the impact that it can have on your lifestyle. Seasonality, freshness and accessibility are what good food and wine experiences are about. You simply cannot have one without the other. Although our focus is very much on wine, food is never far behind.
We also offer you a unique and hassle free ‘Bespoke’ service. We’ll take the turmoil out of finding the best wines for your cellar or your event. If required we will also recommend caterers, suppliers and venues. All this information can be found on our blog-site. At the very least, all you need to do is tell us what, where, who and when. As a personalized service, we will tailor a unique experience for you.
